The poet

Begin the trance mode
The chants
The pen begins to tap
Vigorously on the table

Stunted by the words
That form
Through the side of the brain
Reasoning with one self

For the words
Consume
Eating my soul entirely
I am but just a pawn

Living outside of reality
For this is my reality
Expressing
The way this devours me

This out of body experience
My entity
As if the scribbles
Was that of a demons

For no one will understand
The poet
That dwells inside me
And takes over my thoughts

…it is an out of body experience to write poetry.
